Mummy and Daddy! Prince George stood and watches on from Buckingham Palace as Kate joins William in her first appearance since Princess Charlotte's birth.
- Prince George spotted inside Buckingham Palace, as he is expected to appear with the Queen on the balcony later
- Kate seen riding in an open-topped Barouche carriage in his first appearance since the birth of Princess Charlotte
- She was travelling with Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and Prince Harry, who was dressed in full military regalia
- Prince William was on horseback elsewhere in the procession, alongside Princess Anne and Prince Charles
- The Queen was pictured in another carriage alongside Prince Philip who was wearing a traditional bearskin hat

I am immensely grateful to God Who Has preserved us to witness this day and this occasion. Today marks a triumph for Nigeria and an occasion to celebrate her freedom and cherish her democracy. Nigerians have shown their commitment to democracy and are determined to entrench its culture. Our journey has not been easy but thanks to the determination of our people and strong support from friends abroad we have today a truly democratically elected government in place.
I would like to thank
President Goodluck Jonathan for his display of statesmanship in setting a
precedent for us that has now made our people proud to be Nigerians wherever
they are. With the support and cooperation he has given to the transition
process, he has made it possible for us to show the world that

The president-elect, General Mohammadu Buhari, yesterday,
complained that the out-going government of President Goodluck Jonathan has
failed to make available to the in-coming government with relevant
information need to take-off next after the handover, particularly with
issues of fuel scarcity in the country
The President-elect made this
known on a day the Senate directed its committees on Petroleum Resources (
Upstream and Downstream )
to immediately commence investigation into the
remote and immediate causes of the fuel crisis in the country.
