Many people are wondering what there is to celebrate this
workers day, what with the fuel queues, blackout, no slaries and so on which we
face.
Well, here is a question for you............
As Nigerian workers or prospective workers, what are your
expectations from the incoming Government?

''Nigerians commemorate workers day''
The International Workers' Day is holding today in
Nigeria and most parts of the world.
Also referred to as Labour Day, May first is celebrated
annually to commemorate the Haymarket Affair, which occurred in Chicago on 4
May 1886.
Aside being a work free-day in Nigeria, workers converge at
public fields in the country to commemorate the day, with greater emphasis on
improved work environment, better wage and renewed zeal.
Speaking ahead of the May Day rally at the Eagles Square
Abuja, President of the Nigerian Labour Congress, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, said
workers deserve better treatment from government and their employers.
The factional NLC President, Joe Ajero is also holding a
Workers Day rally in Lagos.
