Rivers APC tells state REC to Prepare for jail after May 29

All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State chapter has told the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), in the State, Mrs. Gesila Khan to prepare for jail after May 29 for allegedly conspiring with the State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to rig the March 28 and April 11 elections in the State in

favour of Peoples Democratic Party.

Mrs. Khan is also being accused of obstructing justice by blocking the State from having access to relevant electoral materials with a view to seeking redress at the Election Petition Tribunal.

In statement by the party, despite the antics of the State REC, the party was determined to expose her shady deals and those of her PDP collaborators at the Election Petition Tribunal and ultimately retrieve the mandate for APC in the State. The State chapter of the APC, commended President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.), for expressing sympathy with the people of Rivers State on their ordeal during the elections.
