One
of the global global PC manufacturers, Lenovo while reaffirming its
commitment to the Nigerian smartphone market has introduced a mix of three new
smartphones into the market.
Telling
the company’s success story after it entered Nigerian market last year,
Shashank Sharma, Executive Director of Mobile Business Group of Lenovo, Middle
East and Africa (MEA) at a breakfast meeting with Technology Journalists described
Nigeria as a vital focus for the organisation.
“Nigeria is one of the fastest growing smartphone markets globally. With about 30 per cent smartphone penetration, the country represents huge growth potential for Lenovo.
“In
the past one year, Lenovo has made strong progress with its Nigerian consumers.
We consider the region as a principal destination for investment, even as we
continue to record robust growth in sales.
“
Sustaining a solid in-country presence is very important to us from both social
and economic standpoints. We will continue to expand our business and invest
heavily in this market.”
Sharma concluded: “We are building on the strong relationships that we have with Nigerians by meeting their demand for smartphones with first-class design, smarter features and improved functionality, with special focus on our latest range of mobile devices.
