Gusty wind nearly caused Kate Hudson wardrobe fault, while in her baggy shirt

Kate Hudson wasn't exactly wearing the best outfit on a helicopter journey on Friday. when a gusty wind almost caused her wardrobe malfunction in her very skimpy outfit - a baggy blue denim shirt worn as a dress.

As Kate stepped out of the helicopter in New York City wearing sky high black suede ankle boots, she was hit by a powerful gust of wind and had to act fast to avoid showing more than she intended to.

The actress also had a blue knitted jumper tied around her waist, and accessorised her look with boho beaded necklaces a pair of retro round sunglasses that her Almost Famous character Penny Lane would certainly approve of.

Before it was whipped around by the wind, Kate's hair was teased into a sexy bedhead style, and she finished off her look with some bold red lipstick.

Kate attended the Icons Of Style dinner at the prestigious Ivy restaurant, hosted by Michael Kors and Vanity fair.
